Evaluation Kit 5 is a small hi-fi bookshelf speaker with monitoring abilities.
Like similar small speakers it has limitations as far as the deepest bass is concerned but what it does it does extremely well.
Even as a small 2-way speaker the Evaluation Kit 5 shows very audibly what can be obtained using Wavecor drive units in terms of detail, dynamics, engagement, and naturalness.
Although in 4 ohm impedance and slightly low sensitivity, the Evaluation Kit 5 is an easy load on audio amplifiers because impedance variations are well controlled from the low midrange and up.
Evaluation Kit 5 will effectively show the what can be obtained using the Wavecor TW030WA01 tweeter and WF138WA02 mid/woofer. The design is an obvious choice for audio DIYs that has limited space but still do not want to settle for less than the best.
